Get Ready For Our Annual
Star-Spangled Event!

Our annual 4th of July Parade and Picnic will be held on Monday, July 4th. The parade will kick off at 11:00AM in front of the Eastern Hills Park on Canton Drive.

If you would like to be in the parade, please be there to line up at 10:30AM for the parade. There will be judging for the best decorated entries in the parade, and ribbons will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.

The lead car will be our neighborhood police officer Lloyd Cook and local Fire Engine #24 will bring up the rear. The parade will wind through Eastern Hills and Brentwood Oak Hills for approximately 2 miles, ending up back at the park.

Following the parade, we will have a cookout of hotdogs and brats with all the fixin’s. Be sure to bring a side dish or dessert to share with your neighbors. Also, don’t forget your lawn chairs. This is a fun event for the entire family so please come out and enjoy the Parade and Festivities!
As part of this year’s event we are asking everyone attending the picnic to please bring a contribution for the Fort Worth Food Drive.

The City of Fort Worth Employee/Neighborhood Food Drive to benefit the Tarrant Area Food Bank begins Monday, June 20 and runs through Friday, July 22, 2016.
The Eastern Hills Neighborhood Association will be participating in this great effort to help feed the hungry in our own community. And just as in years past, there’ll be a little friendly competition. The city will recognize and bestow bragging rights to the neighborhood that collects the most pounds of food and the most monetary donations.

Food and monetary donations are both welcome. Please bring your donations to the June 21 neighborhood meeting and the July 4th Picnic or contact Barbara Grisell at 817-929-6272 or barbgrisell@gmail.com if you need your donations picked up.

Your support in this worthwhile effort is appreciated.
